It has a thick consistency which improves the adhesion of acrylic or oil paint layers. It becomes permanent after drying and the film is strong and flexible to deformation.

Pebeo Studio Acrylics Gesso is available in 4 colours - white, black, grey or transparent in 250 ml tubes, 500 ml and 1 litre jars, and 4 litre tubs. The application of Gesso is essential for proper preparation of the surface to be painted. Indeed, its application is an insurance of proper adhesion of paint layers on the surface. The Gesso choice depends on the colour of the surface you want. If you prefer a white surface, use one coat of the White Studio Acrylics Gesso. The viscosity and titanium white concentration of this white matt coating makes it particularly covering. Use the Black Studio Acrylics Gesso if you prefer an Intense black matt coating, particularly suitable for the application of the DYNA, Studio Acrylics and Artist Acrylics colours, as well as Bindex DYNA mediums. To get a perfect intermediate matt coating between the white and black Gesso, use the Grey Studio Acrylics Gesso. If instead you prefer to keep the original shade of your painting surface, then choose Transparent Gesso.
